How it Works
Laser / light energy is used to penetrate the skin and target areas of concern. For issues such as fine lines and wrinkles and skin laxity, the laser / light energy is designed to stimulate the production of collagen. As new collagen forms, it softens the appearance of aging skin. Fine lines and wrinkles are decreased. For issues such as rosacea, spider veins, pigmented lesions and skin discoloration, similar applications are used. Continuous contact cooling ensures comfort throughout treatment. Sensation during treatment has been described as elastic-band snapping against the skin or needle-prick along with a warm and tingling sensation across the area being treated. Overall, procedures are generally well tolerated with no use of numbing agents or topical anesthetics.

Expected Results
Photorejuvenation seeks to improve fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, sun-damage, freckles, blotchiness and redness. In most cases, there is an overall improvement in skin texture and tone. Results are dependent on patient’s skin type and the nature of skin condition.
